Two million man-hours without lost time injury achieved at the LNG storage tank worksite in Rotterdam in the Netherlands

On April 26, 2010, VINCI Construction Grands Projets, Entrepose Contracting, Techint and Sener (members of the TSEV construction consortium) celebrated – with the client, Gate, and employees involved in the project – the safety milestone of 2 million man-hours without lost time injury.

The 900 employees who were brought together for the occasion received thanks from the project management team for their contribution to this outstanding result. Expressions of gratitude were also offered by the client, including a safety souvenir for each employee and a trophy for the consortium to mark the milestone. Participants were also shown a play designed to remind everyone of the importance of safe work practices.

Another 1.5 million man-hours must be performed on this project before it can be delivered on September 1, 2011. At this special ceremony, both TSEV consortium and Gate renewed their commitment to maintain excellence in safety and clearly stated their objective to achieving 3.5 million man hours without lost time injury.
