VINCI Construction Grands Projets signs a new RPE contract in Vietnam


On July 21, 2010, VINCI Construction Grands Projets (70%), in consortium with OTV (30%), a subsidiary of Veolia Eau, signed a new RPE contract (intergovernmental loan program with emerging economies) with the city of Thai Nguyen in northeastern Vietnam. The €6.2 million contract covers: design, supply, installation, and start-up for 9 wastewater pumping stations; 18 km of pipeline network; 5 km of teletransmission network; and supply of specialized maintenance equipment.

QDVC, subsidiary of Qatari Diar (51%) and VINCI Construction Grands Projets (49%), inked a partnership with the Qatari Telecommunication company Qtel to collect electronic waste (e-waste).

Contract to rehabilitate and extend a drinking water treatment plant in Sri Lanka

VINCI Construction Grands Projets (International Water Works department) has just signed an Emerging Countries Reserve (ECR) contract valued at €10 million that calls for the upgrade of the drinking water supply system for the city of Trincomalee in northeastern Sri Lanka. As a result of the upgrade, the Kantale plant will increase its daily drinking water treatment capacity from 36,500 m³ to 54,500 m³.
