VINCI wins the contract to extend the port of Kingston, Jamaica, for CMA CGM


A joint venture made up of VINCI Construction subsidiaries VINCI Construction Grands Projets and EMCC and the Belgian dredging company Jan de Nul has won the $147 million (about €130 million) contract to extend the port of Kingston, Jamaica. Leading worldwide shipping group CMA CGM, which has held the concession for the port of Kingston since 1 July 2016, selected the joint venture to carry out the project.

Signature of the contracts covering the world's longest immersed road and rail tunnel

The Femern Link Contractors joint venture has signed on the 30 May with the Danish government *contracts in Copenhagen for the design and build of the world's longest immersed road and rail tunnel, the Fehmarnbelt link between Denmark and Germany.

VINCI and Bouygues Construction win a further contract for the construction of the Cairo metro

The joint venture led by VINCI Construction Grands Projets, alongside Bouygues Construction’s subsidiary Bouygues Travaux Publics and their Egyptian partners Orascom Construction and Arab Contractors, has won the Phase 3 contract for Line 3 of the Cairo metro. The President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and the President of the French Republic, François Hollande, attended the official signing ceremony on 17 April 2016. The client, the National Authority for Tunnels, demonstrated renewed confidence in the joint venture, which has been building the metro system for North Africa’s largest urban area since 1981.
